Dr Mustafa Al-Qaysi
Dr Kaliane Silva Fraife
Dr Kaliane graduated from medical school in Brazil in 2014. She has worked as a GP in Sydney and South West Rocks before settling permanently in Port Stephens with her family.
Dr Kali enjoys caring for patients of all ages and particularly values the long-term relationships that come with general practice. Her special interests include women’s health, contraception and family planning, paediatrics, aged care, preventative health, chronic disease management and mental health.
She has a particular interest in women’s reproductive health and provides contraceptive counselling, Implanon insertion and removal, and IUD insertion and removal.
Dr Kali has a warm, holistic and patient-centred approach to medicine. She is passionate about preventative care and early intervention, while helping her patients feel heard, supported and involved in decisions about their health.

Dr Marat Abdulaev
Dr Marat graduated from Medical University in Russia in 1999. He developed his professional career in the field of Vascular and Cardiac surgery. He has been working in Australia since 2015 and has completed 7 years of additional surgical training in Australia, working in our emergency departments. Dr Marat has decided to dedicate his further professional career to General Practice and practices patient-centred care with a “whole person” approach. His special interests include management of varicose veins and leg ulcers, chronic disease, men’s health, skin cancer surgery and management of all skin conditions.
Dr Mehrnaz Samet

Dr Mehrnaz is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), with extensive experience in comprehensive family medicine. She graduated from Medical School in Iran in 2007 and, following experience in the Upper Hunter Valley, now proudly calls Port Stephens home.
Dr Mehrnaz is committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based and personalised care across all stages of life. She also contributes to the profession through the supervision and mentoring of fellow doctors.
Her clinical interests include women’s health, paediatrics, mental health, skin cancer management and chronic disease management.
Dr Marie Shieh
Dr Marie Shieh has over 20 years of experience as a family doctor in the U.S., New Zealand, China and Australia.
Caring for people in a holistic way is what she enjoys most and does best. Her full spectrum of care extends from shared care in obstetrics and the care of babies to palliative care and all that lies in between. Her qualifications include Board Certification in the U.S. and FRACGP in Australia.
Dr Ali Zubaidy

Dr Ali Zubaidy is a dedicated and experienced General Practitioner who graduated from Medical College in 2014. Since then, he has provided high-quality, patient-focused care across the Hunter region, including Rutherford, Belmont, and Salamander Bay.Dr Ali has a special interest in skin conditions and skin cancer management, performing both simple and complex surgical procedures to ensure early detection and effective treatment. He is also experienced in Implanon insertion and removal, providing a reliable contraceptive option for women seeking long-term birth control.

Dr Somaya graduated from Ain Shams University, Egypt, in 2009. She holds a Diploma in Paediatrics and is very interested in all aspects of paediatric care, chronic health conditions, aged care and women’s health. Dr Somaya is dedicated to looking after the needs of our community and is a valued member of our team!
Dr Isaac Saqeb

Dr Isaac Saqeb is an Australian-trained medical practitioner pursuing his career towards the fellowship of RACGP. He graduated from Medical School in 2010 and has 15 years of experience in general medicine, emergency medicine and surgery. He has been working in the Emergency department as a Career medical officer in Hunter/New England network since 2021.
Dr Isaac is interested in family medicine, general medicine and child health.

Dr. Edah has been caring for patients in both Australia and overseas for many years. Originally from the Philippines, she completed her medical degree and postgraduate training there before moving to Australia, where she is now in her final year of GP training with the RACGP.
She has a special passion for chronic disease management and preventive health, and is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centred care to the community.
Outside of work, Dr. Edah loves cooking, camping, reading, and travelling with her family.
Dr Earl Pasay
Emergency Medicine Specialist
Dr. Earl is a dedicated and skilled medical professional currently working as a Senior Resident Medical Officer (SRMO) in Emergency Medicine with the Hunter New England Local Health District. A graduate of Cebu Institute of Medicine (2015), he brings a strong foundation in clinical reasoning, diagnostic accuracy, and calm decision-making under pressure — qualities that make him a valued member of any healthcare team.
Since passing the Philippine Licensure Examination (2016) and earning his Australian Medical Council Certificate (2018), Dr. Earl has continued to grow both professionally and personally, achieving AHPRA General Registration in 2024. He takes pride in contributing to a supportive emergency department environment, mentoring junior staff, and engaging in projects aimed at improving patient flow and communication.
Beyond medicine, Dr. Earl enjoys fishing, playing basketball, video games, and occasionally surprising people with his guitar skills. Passionate about health and wellness, he believes in maintaining a balanced lifestyle through fitness, mindfulness, and outdoor activities — ensuring he always brings empathy, focus, and energy to his patients and colleagues alike.

Dr Karim Mohamed is a General Practice Registrar with broad medical experience gained across Australia, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
With 18 years of experience across hospital and community healthcare settings, Dr Karim brings a diverse clinical background to general practice. Prior to working in Australian general practice, his medical career included roles and postgraduate training in intensive care medicine and cardiology.
Dr Karim has worked within the Intensive Care Unit at Blacktown Hospital in Australia and has previous international experience in intensive care and cardiology in the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. He has also worked in primary care, providing him with experience across both acute hospital medicine and ongoing community-based healthcare.
Now working in general practice, Dr Karim enjoys caring for patients across different stages of life and values taking the time to understand each patient’s individual health concerns, medical history and circumstances. His broad clinical background supports his approach to general practice, particularly when caring for patients with ongoing or complex health needs.
Dr Karim is currently undertaking specialist general practice training as a General Practice Registrar with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and is a member of the RACGP.

Dr Hussain Alsheikh is an Australian trained Podiatrist with a strong focus on foot, ankle, knee, hip and lower-back biomechanics. He uses evidence-based care, advanced technology, and clear communication to diagnose the true cause of pain and not just treat the symptoms.
Studying a Bachelor of Medical Science and a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Western Sydney University (majoring in Anatomy and Physiology), Huss brings a deep understanding of how the entire lower limb functions as a connected system. This allows him to treat not only foot problems, but also alignment related knee pain, hip pain and lower back discomfort.
He has engaged in surgical observations and training exposure in podiatric surgery, gaining insight into perioperative management, minimally invasive techniques and the assessment of complex foot and ankle conditions.
